Director/Producer Robert Lynden is the founder of Sole Icon Productions, a West Hollywood production company. Lynden has produced and directed promotional videos for the film and television industry including Fox, Disney, and Paramount as well as for the professional beauty industry. He has also produced music videos. In addition, he has collaborated with well-known art directors from leading international beauty care companies including brands under Procter & Gamble, Shiseido, and L'Oreal as well as Aveda, Paul Mitchell, and Schwarzkopf. Sole Icon's current work is primarily in cosmetics and fashion. Lynden produces, directs, animates, and edits every project that comes in the door. He shoots in New York, Paris, Milan, and Los Angeles, but all work is always edited at Sole Icon's West Hollywood location.
Lynden has been a Media 100 user spanning three decades. "When I started in film in the early 1990s, I was editing analog, and then I heard about this new thing called Cosa After Effects and Media 100," noted Lynden. "I got one of each and a week later I was editing my first project - a music video - in non-linear." Sole Icon's studio currently includes four Media 100 Suite editing systems that are outfitted with Adobe After Effects, Boris Continuum Complete, and Boris RED. Two of the Media 100 Suite systems integrate AJA KONA cards for video I/O.

Concludes Lynden, "I have tried other editing platforms, but I find Media 100 Suite to be the best overall.
