The Boris Continuum Lens Blur Unit delivers Lens Blur, Lens Shape, and Lens Transition filters to Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, Apple Motion, and Apple Final Cut Express. Each filter is multi-processor accelerated for fast performance on modern computing platforms. These plug-ins emulate a lens blur defocus/rack focus effect where out of focus highlights of a video clip take on the shape of the lens diaphragm. This is especially helpful when trying to add dream-sequence, time machine, or throwback moods to your scenes. The Z-depth option allows editors to achieve a stylized depth-of-field look where a certain area of a clip remains sharp and clear while the remaining area is slightly out-of-focus.
