10. FEC filters can also be applied to host-made titles. From the Batch node bin, drag a Text node to your desktop.

11. Connect the output of FEC_Glass to the input of the Text node.
12. Double click the Text node and select Edit to enter the parameters module.
13. Click anywhere on the blank canvas to add a text layer
14. Type in "2012" and position and scale it to fit in the 2nd ring of the top row of your Olympic Rings graphic. This will be static. Customize the text as you wish.

15. Let's punch up the rings and text to add visual impact. From the Batch node bin, drag a Spark to your desktop, navigate to the FEC_Stylize category and select FEC_Glow.
16. Connect the output of the Text node to the Front, Background and Matte inputs of FEC_Glow. It doesn't matter which output is connected to the PC Layer input, as it will not be used in the effect.

17. Double click the FEC_Glow node and select Edit to enter the parameters module.
18. Enter a value of 25 for Glow Radius
19. Enter a value of 2 for Glow Intensity. Keep all other controls at default.

Before and after FEC Glow is applied.
The final step is wiping from the London Artbeats clip to our blue Olympic Rings and text we just created.
20. From the Batch node bin, drag a Spark to your desktop. This time, let's apply an FEC filter in Proxy view rather than Titles view. While in Sparks Browser mode, select the hotkey P on your keyboard. This brings up the Proxy view.
21. Click on the FEC_Transitions category and select the FEC_GlassWipe proxy.

22. Make sure the London clip is plugged into the Front Input; the output of FEC_Glow goes into the remaining inputs of the FEC_GlassWipe spark. The Gradient Layer will not be used in this effect.

23. Double click the FEC_GlassWipe node and select Edit to enter the parameters module.
24. To help me determine which wipe would best suit this promo, I'll preview it in mid-transition first. To do this, enter 88 in the Current Frame Field and you should see the wipe in action.

All FEC Transitions are set to Auto animate at default but can be manually animated as well. To learn more about this feature, refer to the filter Help documentation.
25. Let's apply a preset. From the Preset pulldown menu, select the Auto_Strong_Highlight preset. Notice the glass effect becomes more accentuated.

26. Process the result.
