The changes to the title animation power of Boris Graffiti are truly vast. So vast, in fact, that it's almost impossible to choose where to begin providing you examples of the new kinds of effects you can create.
So rather than picking one to start, I'm going to put two of my favorites together, Type On and Text on Path. I'll end with a few variations on the theme, showing how easy it is to export this animation to Flash, and to turn it into a 3D title.
Along the way, I'll show you a number of tips and tricks to find your way around Graffiti's revamped interface.
As you build this animation yourself, you'll also get a hint of the power and speed that come from vector titling, which no other titler on the market offers. You'll only find it in Graffiti, as well as, of course, Boris RED.
Speaking of which, if you've seen me demo RED over the past year, you may well have seen this animation. It's a pleasure to point out how much of RED's titling power has made its way into Graffiti, which is now the most powerful dedicated titling application on the market.
I encourage you to do this tutorial in the Graffiti Keyframer, a standalone utility that allows you to build effects on any computer. Although Graffiti plugs into more NLEs than ALL its competitors combined, you don't need an NLE installed to use Keyframer. And, because it's a cross platform application, you can even copy Keyframer to a computer that's a different platform than the one you'll be using for the Graffiti plug-in.
