Extreme Overshoot

It's amazing to me that titling was already such a strong suit, and that many of the newest features in RED are devoted to making it even stronger.

Among my favorites is a new feature in Type On called Overshoot.

As you look at the image above, think of the Type On tab as breaking into three sections. The first line features the slider that controls all of the others: the amount and direction of the animation.

The next few lines describe how the animation will proceed. That is, this section's parameters don't modify the text in your animation: rather, they modify the actual animation, such as how many letters at a time will be affected. (That particular parameter is called Reveal Time.)

This section is where you'll find Overshoot, which modifies animation by adding a bounce back in the other direction…but first you need to decide what exactly you want overshot.
