Purchasing/Activating RED (v5.0.3 or later), FX (v10 or later), or Graffiti (v6 or later)

1: The Trial Version Purchase/Activate window opens when you launch the plug-in, or you can open it at any time by choosing the "Purchase/Activate" option from under the Help menu:

2a: The Trial Version Purchase/Activate window displays information about how many days are remaining in the Trial Period, the product version, name/company name you entered when installing the product and the install date:

2b:  Clicking the question mark button opens this document.

3a: At this point, if you have already purchased the product you need to enter the serial number you received (starting with MN…) in the Serial # box and then click on the Verify button:

Once the number you entered is verified, the Activate button becomes available and needs to be clicked to activate the license over the internet:

Upon activating the license, a window pops up stating how many additional activations are left for that particular number:

Also, upon activation of the number, it says Licensed at the top of the Purchase Window & the Verify button changes to Deactivate button.

When this button is clicked, a window pops up asking “are you sure you wish to deactivate your product?” and gives you an option to either click Cancel or OK:

If you click OK then RED on that system becomes unlicensed thus freeing up the number to license RED on another system where it is installed and a window pops up with an updated information on how many additional activations are left for that particular serial number:

3b) If you have not already purchased the product (& hence don’t have the Serial #), you can click on the Unlock Code button:

In the next window, a Unique Product ID number shows up which must be provided to Boris FX when purchasing an Unlock Code for the product:

After entering the Unlock Code number, you must click on the Activate button to license the product.

4: The BorisFX button launches the system web browser and opens the borisfx.com web site’s home page. Clicking the Store button launches the system web browser and opens the borisfx.com web site’s products purchase page.
