Activating your AvidFX (6.0. and later) License.

1. The Activate window opens when you launch AvidFX either as a standalone application or as a plug-in through Avid. Or you can open it at any time by choosing the Activate option from under the Help menu:

2a. The "Activate" window displays information about how many days are remaining in the Evaluation Period, the product version, name/company name/e-mail address you entered when installing the product and the install date:

2b. Clicking the question mark button opens this document.

3a. At this point, the serial number you received and entered for installation (starting with MA…) will show up in the Serial # box and you then need to click the Verify button to validate it:

Once the number you entered is verified, the Activate button becomes available and needs to be clicked to activate the license over the internet:

Upon activating the license, following window pops up thus confirming that the License has been activated:

Also, upon activation of the number, it says Licensed for Avid at the top of the Purchase Window:

3b. As an alternative to activating live via internet you can click on the Unlock Code button:

In the next window, a Unique Product ID number shows up which must be provided to Boris FX to get the Unlock Code for the product:

After entering the Unlock Code number, you must click the Activate button to license the product.

4. The Avid button launches the system web browser and opens the avid.com web site's home page.
