Boris FX Expands Real-Time Performance of Boris Continuum Complete

New Boris Continuum Complete v8.2 Features Fast OpenGL Rendering, New Real-Time Filters

Las Vegas, NV - April 9, 2013 - Boris FX, the leading developer of integrated VFX and workflow technology for video and film, today announced Boris Continuum Complete (BCC) Version 8.2. The new v8.2 release features up to 100% improvement in render time for OpenGL-accelerated filters. In addition, nearly all BCC AVX for Avid filters can now be rendered in real-time.

Boris Continuum Complete v8.2 Feature Highlights

  • Up to 100% Improvement in Rendering Times. All OpenGL-accelerated BCC filters, including the popular BCC Lens Flare 3D and BCC Stage Light filters, have been optimized for dramatically faster rendering.
  • More Real-Time Performance for Avid. Nearly all BCC AVX filters can now be rendered in real-time in Avid editing and finishing systems.
  • Enhanced Particles. BCC's popular particle effects, including Particle Emitter 3D, now feature faster rendering as well as an improved depth-of-field implementation.
  • Expanded Graphics Card Support. BCC has been optimized to take advantage of the latest graphics cards from NVIDIA and ATI.

Availability

BCC v8.2 FxPlug for Apple Final Cut Pro and Motion is available now as a free download from www.borisfx.com for BCC v8.x FxPlug users. BCC v8.2 AE for Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, BCC v8.2 AVX for Avid, and BCC v8.2 for Sony Vegas Pro will be available as free downloads from www.borisfx.com for BCC v8.x users during Q2 2013.
