Time Warner Cable Media Sales produces 30 second spots for businesses that want to advertise on networks such as ESPN, CNN, USA, and FOODTV. With 15 edit bays, they have used Final Effects Complete AE with Adobe After Effects for over eight years. In addition, they use Boris Continuum Complete in conjunction with Adobe After Effects and Apple Final Cut Pro.
"I don't think we can work with After Effects without FEC and BCC. The filters are that important," comments Russ Grace, Production Technical Supervisor, Time Warner Cable Media Sales. "Boris plug-ins help us provide our clients with a better product - and the filters are easy to use. As long as Boris makes plug-ins for After Effects or Final Cut Pro, we will buy them."

In this new podcast, we use Boris Continuum Complete's Rays Cartoon filter to generate a volumetric lighting effect on an animated text element. The BCC Rays Cartoon filter will also give the text the appearance of being made of neon lights. We'll complete the effect by using the BCC Light Sweep to add a light sweep across the face of the text element and then we'll use the BCC Colorize Glow filter to provide a soft glowing look.
