BCC AVX 8.1.1 for Avid DS – What's New:
• Addition of two additional Image Restoration filters - Flicker Fixer and Optical Stabilizer. Note these two new filters require Avid DS 11.0.2 or higher to function properly.
BCC AVX 8.1.1 for Avid DS - Known Issues and Limitations:
• The Beat Reactor audio graph becomes less accurate as the Freqeuncy Resolution is increased to high values. As a temporary workaround use low values near the default setting of 32.
• In filters with more than one Motion Tracker point (e.g. BCC Witness Protection), saving/loading the motion tracker data only works for the first tracker point.
• BCC LED shows occasional mis-colored dots on Quadro FX 3500 card and can generate driver error messages when working with alpha on the Quadro FX 4800.
• The 3D Objects filters can show a white fringe around the edges of the objects when using within a compositing container. As a temporary workaround you can process the filters within the container and it will then composite normally as opposed to rendering from outside the container.
• There is a notable difference in the lighting for Particle Array 3D and Pin Art 3D when changing from RGB to YCC colorspaces. As a temporary workaround these filters will produce more accurate final lighting when used in YCC colorspaces.
• Filters with subtle alpha gradients can generate noticably different results in RGB vs. YCC colorspaces. As a temporary workaround these filters will produce more accurate final composites when used in YCC colorspaces.
• Occasionally parameter groups which should remain hidden will appear in the UI until a refresh is forced by toggling a parameter or rescaling the effect pane. We are working with Avid to resolve this issue.
• When saving a BCC preset with the BCC preset menu, it can be difficult to read the filename as it is typed. The preset will still be saved as expected. We are working with Avid to resolve this issue.
• In 3D Objects filters the textures can sometimes shift or scale when changing resolutions. As a temporary workaround these effects are best prepared at full resolution.
• The names of the DS preset folders have changed between BCC7 and BCC8. When opening BCC7 projects in BCC8 this can cause a host error message about being unable to find the previous preset folder location. This message can be ignored as the projects still come forward and open correctly.
• When using an image layer as a particle shape in Particle Emitter 3D, Organic Strands, or Wild Cards you can see incorrect color channels in 16bit projects. As a temporary workaround you can use images from the Image Collection library installed with the product or use 8bit or 32 bit float processing.
