Boris AAF Transfer 1.0.4

August 2010

Release Notes

Boris AAF Transfer is a plug-in for Apple Final Cut Pro and enables the transfer of program sequences from Final Cut Pro to Avid Media Composer, Symphony, Newscutter and DS systems. Below is a list of the fixes that were included in this revision.

What’s new in 1.0.4 from 1.0.3:

• Avid DS support – checkbox added to export dialogue box for transfer of Final Cut Pro sequence for direct import into Avid DS

• Nested sequences that have been trimmed in Final Cut Pro will now export correctly and appear as expected in Avid

• Clips that do not transfer as expected into Avid from Final Cut Pro are now replaced with filler and an error message is included in the HTML log file – in previous builds the AAF Transfer would not complete when the program encountered a problematic media file.

• Better handling of unsupported features: if clips with alpha are time remapped, they are replaced with a submaster effect to preserve the original clips duration and alpha.
