With the release of Adobe Creative Cloud, many Boris FX customers have been wondering about compatibility with their existing Boris FX software. All current Boris FX products have been fully tested and confirmed as being compatible with the new Adobe CC product line. We have updated our product installers to include Adobe CC as a target host and would like to encourage all Adobe CC users to download and use these new installers to ensure that their Boris FX plugins will continue to operate as smoothly as they have been. (All installers will be live on 6/21. BCC is currently available. We will update you as each installer goes up.)
Although we strongly suggest that you use the automated product installers to handle this, if for some reason you are unable to download the new Boris FX product installers and need to move the plug-ins manually, we have included step-by-step instructions below that will walk you through the process.
For Mac OSX Users:
BCC/FEC –
• Go to this directory: /Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/CS6/Media Core/
• Copy the BCC and/or FEC plug-ins
• Paste the copied plug-ins into this directory: /Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/
RED, Graffiti and FX -
• Go to this directory: /Macintosh HD/Applications/Adobe Premiere Pro CS6/
• Right click on Premiere Pro.app and select “Show Package Contents”
• Go to …/Premiere Pro/Contents/Plug-Ins/Common
• Copy “Boris RED.bundle” and/or “BorisGraffiti.bundle or BorisFX.bundle” files
• Paste the copied .bundle files into this directory:Macintosh HD/Applications/Adobe Premiere Pro CC/ (Right click on Premiere Pro.app and select “Show Package Contents” /Contents/Plug-Ins/Common)
For PC Users:
For BCC/FEC –
• Go to this directory: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\CS6\Media Core\
• Copy the BCC or FEC plug-ins
• Paste the copied plug-ins into this directory: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\Media Core\
For RED, Graffiti and FX –
• Go to this directory: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS6\Plug-Ins\Common\
• Copy FL7-BorisFX10 and/or FL7-BorisGraffiti6 FL7-BorisRED5 as well as FX6-BorisFX10 FX6-BorisGraffiti6 and/or FX6-BorisRED5
• Paste the copied files into this directory: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CC\Plug-Ins\Common\
